Wonders on Wheels
Jennifer Hasty, PhD, Program Manager

Wonders on Wheels is the mobile museum program of New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs. The WoW RV travels all over the state bringing museum exhibits to the people of New Mexico.
The Arts of Democracy in New Mexico is an all-ages, interactive exhibition, honoring the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Highlighting ideals of freedom and self-government embedded in the Declaration, this exhibition traces the development of those same ideals in New Mexico, showing how they have been expressed in art forms such as textiles, newspapers, political cartoons, protest buttons, and zines.
“The Arts of Democracy in New Mexico” is supported in part by New Mexico Arts, a division of the Department of Cultural Affairs, and by the National Endowment for the Arts.
Wonders on Wheels Mobile Museum is a specially retrofitted 38-foot RV featuring 300 square feet of arts, culture, history, and science exhibits and curriculum-based programming. The WoW mobile museum brings exhibits curated from one of DCA’s eight state-run museums to public schools (pre-K through grade 12) and libraries in communities throughout New Mexico.
