Education Programs and Resources by Department of Cultural Affairs Educators

The New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs offers a wide range of in-person and virtual programs for students of all ages presented by New Mexico State Museums, historic sites, and cultural institutions.
The DCA Educates website is a hub for accessing and requesting programs and resources created by State educators and experts. Invite a DCA Educator is an opportunity for schools, as well as homeschool and out of school groups, to enhance learning in the classroom and beyond. This allows teachers (as well as community organizations, libraries, homeschool educators, etc.) to request any of a wide variety of programs about New Mexico history, culture, science, art, and more. Programs are available for all ages and grade levels, pre-K to adult. There are programs offered at DCA sites, in classrooms, libraries, and other locations; as well as virtually.
DCA Educates also provides a collection of lessons created by State educators with a New Mexico focus for teachers to utilize in their classrooms. All of the DCA published activity and coloring books, featuring art, poetry, and activities created by New Mexicans, are available for download on the website.
